Heart Attack Care
Elderly Care for Those Who Have Suffered Myocardial Infarctions
If you have an Elderly or Senior loved one who has recently had a heart attack, they could benefit from having an experienced caregiver around to ensure they take their prescribed medication when needed and to help them lead a healthier lifestyle. Heart attacks, also known as Myocardial Infarction, occur when the heart muscle is starved of oxygen-rich blood from a coronary artery, damaging or killing heart muscle cells and causing permanent damage to the heart. After a heart attack, it’s important that the survivor receives heart attack care and do all they can to control their blood sugar and blood pressure levels and reduce the risk of heart failure, aneurysm, ventricular/atrial fibrillation, or another heart attack.
